A tunnel washer system is the most efficient industrial grade laundry system. It processes laundry by feeding batches of linen to the system every 3 minutes. Each batch goes through the compartments inside a tunnel washer. As each batch gets transferred from one compartment to another, it meets different chemistries, from prewash in the first compartments, main wash in the middle compartments and rinse in the final compartments. Different chemicals are dosed in different compartments. Tunnel systems save more than 50% of water compared to regular industrial washing machines leading to more environment protection.
Aquion uses two tunnel washer systems, Lavatec from Germany and Milnor from the US. While each system has their own unique ways of washing, Aquion makes sure that the total wash time does not go below 30 minutes per batch. All our systems are auto-dosed with Kreussler chemicals from Germany.
Our Lavatec system can process 50 kilos every 3 minutes.
After the initial loading, all linen movement from the washer to the press, then to the dryers are automated.
Chemicals are dosed through computers. We are not dependent on human operators to decide how much chemicals to put inside the washers.
Steam is injected into the main wash ensuring a high quality wash with premium chemicals and hot water. All linen is disinfected at 65 degrees Celsius for at least 10 minutes (European standards).
